Common Questions
- 01Yes, absolutely. Hypnosis is a completely safe and natural state of mind that you actually experience every day—like when you get completely absorbed in a good book, daydream while driving, or are just drifting off to sleep. During our sessions, you remain in complete control. You cannot be forced to do or say anything against your will, and you can come out of the relaxed state at any time. The entire process is gently guided and designed to feel deeply calm, supportive, and safe.
- 02During a hypnosis session, clients typically experience a deep state of focused relaxation and heightened awareness, often described as a calm and peaceful mental space. You remain fully conscious and in control, yet your mind becomes more open and receptive to positive suggestions and insights. Many clients notice a gentle shift in their perception of time and sensations, feeling grounded yet detached from everyday distractions. This state allows for profound healing, clarity, and transformation as you explore past life regression, QHHT®, or transpersonal hypnosis techniques tailored to your needs. Each session is conducted with professional guidance to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- 03Wear comfortable clothes, avoid caffeine for several hours before, and arrive with an open heart and a list of questions for your inquiry.
- 04Think of them as different pathways to the same deep, inner wisdom. Past Life Regression focuses specifically on exploring prior lifetimes or childhood experiences to resolve current-day patterns, phobias, or unexplained attachments. Transpersonal Hypnosis bridges traditional hypnotherapy with spiritual psychology, focusing on the mind-body-spirit connection to heal trauma, access inner guidance, or process spiritual awakenings. Traditional hypnotherapy focuses primarily on the mind and body to change habits, like quitting smoking or managing anxiety. Transpersonal Hypnosis expands that focus to include the spirit. It views you not just as a mind and body to be "fixed," but as a soul on a spiritual journey, using expanded states of consciousness to access deep, inner wisdom. QHHT® is a specific, deep-trance method developed by Dolores Cannon. It takes you into the Somnambulistic state to explore past lives and directly communicates with your Subconscious (or Higher Self) to achieve physical and emotional healing. QHHT® is offered in person only.
- 05Past Life Regression is a gentle form of hypnotherapy that takes you back through time to recover memories of previous lifetimes or incarnations. It is based on the idea that our souls carry accumulated experiences, lessons, and sometimes unresolved traumas from one lifetime to the next. During a session, as your analytical mind relaxes, your Subconscious or Higher Self acts as a "librarian," selecting and showing you the specific past life that is most relevant to what you are experiencing today. People typically seek Past Life Regression to: Understand Current Patterns: Discover the root cause of unexplained phobias, recurring relationship dynamics, or deeply ingrained habits. Uncover Hidden Talents: Reconnect with strengths, wisdom, or creative gifts you developed in a previous life. Resolve Physical Issues: Explore whether a persistent, unexplained physical ailment has an emotional or energetic origin in a past life. Gain Perspective on Death: Experiencing the transition of a past life often brings a profound sense of peace and a deep understanding that the soul is eternal. Whether you view these memories as literal historical facts or as powerful, healing metaphors created by your subconscious mind, the therapeutic value remains the same: it provides deep clarity and healing for your current life.
- 06Your personal beliefs are always honored and respected here. In our work together, we can look at "past lives" in one of two ways: Literal Memories: Exploring actual previous lifetimes. The Mind's Metaphors: Viewing the experience as your subconscious mind generating a deeply creative story, dream, or metaphor to help you process a current emotion or challenge. Much like how a nighttime dream uses symbols to help you process stress, your subconscious might show you a historical scene to help you understand a current pattern (like a fear of public speaking or a boundary issue). Whether the experience is a literal memory or a symbolic story, the emotional breakthrough, healing, and insights are completely real. Ultimately, these modalities are simply tools to help you connect with your own inner wisdom, quiet the noise of everyday life, and find deep, lasting peace.
- 07For Transpersonal Hypnosis and Past Life Regression, you will likely remember most, if not all, of the session, much like waking up from a vivid dream. For QHHT®, because we access a deeper state, you may feel like you took a deep nap and remember only fragments (which is why all QHHT® sessions are fully recorded for you). As for "making it up"—your subconscious communicates through symbols, metaphors, and memories. Whether a scene is a literal past life or a powerful story created by your subconscious to help you heal a current block, the emotional release and insight are 100% real.
- 08Based in Washington State, I work with clients from Olympia, Tacoma, Seattle, Portland, and across the Pacific Northwest, as well as clients worldwide through virtual sessions where appropriate. QHHT® sessions are only conducted in person. Past Life Regression is equally effective as QHHT® and may be performed virtually. - 09Absolutely. Transpersonal Hypnosis and Past Life Regression work beautifully over Zoom. Energy and the subconscious mind are not limited by physical space. Many clients actually find it easier to relax deeply because they are in the safety and comfort of their own home.
- 10Yes, absolutely. Hypnosis does not conflict with your religious faith—in fact, many clients find that it beautifully deepens their spiritual connection. It is a common misconception that hypnosis is about giving up control or surrendering your mind to the practitioner. In reality, hypnosis is simply a state of profound, quiet focus. It is very similar to the deep, meditative stillness experienced during intense prayer, contemplation, or reading scripture. In a session, we are simply quieting the "clutter" and anxiety of the everyday conscious mind. By slowing down the mental noise, you are able to better connect with your own conscience, inner wisdom, and the values aligned with your faith. You remain fully in control, and your personal relationship with God or your Higher Power is entirely respected. Think of hypnosis as a quiet sanctuary for your mind—a space designed to help you find clarity, release burdens, and connect with the profound peace you seek. While the term "higher power" is used in many spiritual traditions, we treat it as an accessible resource for anyone—regardless of their specific beliefs. For those who are religious, this often feels like a form of prayer or discernment. For others, it’s about connecting with a higher consciousness or universal wisdom. You are encouraged to interpret this guidance through the lens of your own values and beliefs.
